Tiji Festival is one of the oldest ritual ceremonies, which was started 600 years ago. Teeji is used to be managed by Tsher monastery, lasting for five days.
The first two days being used for preparation and the next three days for culture performance to be shared in the courtier in front of Lomanthang Palace. The monks show various different cultural dances & rituals are held which are rare & unique to see .
People from mustang eagerly anticipate participating in the Teeji festival & the chance to receive a blessing at this time . The major aim of Teeji Festival is celebrate and cultivate peace inside Mustang & all around the world too. More than 500 tourists come here to see the Teeji festival and the number is increasing each year.
Within these three days of Teeji Festival many people experience new feelings of amazement & calmness. During the stay of Lomanthang the team also visits Lomangthang palace, John Cave & stunning monasteries. It is a wonderful and unique opportunity to learn about the beautiful landscape, heritage, lively hood & culture of the Lomangthang people from Mustang District.
