Chhath Parva Festival
Chhath Parva is one of the prime celebrations devoted to the Sun-god (Suryadev) on Madhesh or Terai and is seen on the fourth day of the lunar timetable amid the month of Kartik – Mangsir (October – November). The rising and the setting sun is worshiped and the celebration goes on for four days. Basically the celebration is mostly popular in Janakpur by the Maithali people and in other various remains of the nation.
4 Days of Chhath
1st Day: On the beginning day, known as Arba Arbain or Nahan Khan, the worshipers fast by disposing of meat, garlic and onion and eat different varieties which is considered pure “unadulterated” nourishment.
