Arun Valley Trek is one of the naturally beautiful and culturally diverse trekking destinations of Makalu Trekking Region. This trek is considered to be a non-tourist trekking trail of Nepal. Arun Valley which is located between two highest mountains Everest and Makalu is the world’s deepest valley. Arun Valley is still a pure wild nature with lush forests clean glacier river, untamed flora and fauna, traditional mountain civilization, and home of beautiful nature forests by wonderful himilayas .  Arun Valley Trekking is famous for stunning views of mountains closer to your eyes such as  Mt. Everest , Mt. Makalu, Mt. Baruntse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Thamserku etc. . There are many other attractions of this trek including Salpa Bhanjyang and Salpa Pokhari.

Trekking in Arun valley offers an alternate approach to the Khumbu region trekking. This trek is significant because its return trial with substitutes like straight flight to Kathmandu or back to the capital following Solukhmbu – Jiri (Ancient Trial) trekking route.  To  starting point can be Hille if travelling by road or Tumlingtar if a flight is preferred. Getting to or from Hille involves a lengthy bus journey from Kathmandu of around fourteen hours. If this route is taken an entry permit for Makalu Barun National Park is required.

In fact, Arun Valley Trek is a marvelous trek and considered to be easy for those people who really don’t want the mass of tourists on the trail. It is really blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture. Most importantly, this trek is possible in any season.The scenery along the trail ranges from mixed farming land and scattered Sherpa and Rai village to stands of forest including rhododendron and Oak. Trekking route of Arun Valley Trek is locked between Sagarmatha and Makalu Barun National Parks.
Being easy type of trek, you don’t need to have any prior trekking or hiking experience during Arun Valley Trek. And well, just normal walking experience is enough for this trekking package. During this marvelous trek, you can enjoy the incredible biodiversity. Actually, you can enjoy more than 650 species of birds and over 800 species of butterflies. Additionally, this valley is a home of endangered Panda.
