Rocking climbing is a great adventure sport gaining quite attention currently amongst tourist and young generation. Thanks to Kathmandu for being a valley we are completely surrounded by rocks. There are many climbing sites in Kathmandu ranging from beginners to expert kinds.

Just a word, you should be aware that Rock Climbing is a serious sport where the participant should be physically and mentally strong. If you know your limits please choose according to them and be sincerely prepared before trying out.

 

Nagarjun Forest Reserve Site
The Nagarjun forest is located about 3 – 4 km northwest of Kathmandu. So, reaching the place will be a short drive. This place offers all kind of climbing experience from beginners to experts. It’s just the way people want it. This place is also good for bird enthusiasts as over all 318 species of birds reside in this place.

Hattiban Site
Hattiban is situated in the southern side of Kathmadu, an hour drive from Thamel. This place is not for light-hearted because it is a climbing site only for experts and skilled climbers but the more challenging it is more intense is the fun. It is worth the time if you’re up for it.

Bimal Nagar Site
This site is located outside of the valley in the route of Kathmandu – Pokhara highway. It takes about 5 hrs in bus to reach this place. The trip gives you the chance to look some amazing view of Mt. Manasalu and the Marsyandhi River. So, the way to the top is quite a goal. This place is suitable for intermediate and experts only.
