ABC Trip Overview:

Mount Annapurna (8091m), the tenth highest mountain in the world, and the first 8000 meter peak ever scaled successfully, is often touted as one of the most beautiful climbing peaks in the world. Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is obviously one of the most beautiful treks combined with a magnificent view and a beautiful blend of cultures unparalleled by any other treks in Nepal. Starting from lowland towns with rice terraces, ABC Trek enters into the beautiful Annapurna region. It’s a hike into the dazzling natural amphitheater imprinted by the extremely beautiful peaks of the Annapurna range.

To kick-start the trip, we needa take a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The very next, our ABC Trip begins from Nayapul along the road that eventually dwindles to the main trail. Take your time to step into some tea house to warm up! We stay overnight on the trail at a guest house in Tikhedhunga. Don’t forget to drop your bags in the guesthouse rooms, and  explore the village around. In the second day of our trek, we reach lovely little village of Ghorepani after few hours of walk. No doubt, you’re gonna appreciate this place very much, one of the best destinations! In Ghorepani, the sky begins to clear and you’ll be awarded with your first view of Mount Dhaulagiri, the 7th highest peak in the world. The very next day, we’ve to wake up early in the morning around 4:30am and make climb to Poon Hill to explore the phenomenal sunrise view and surrounding snow-capped peaks. From Poon Hill, we make our way to Tadapani, and then to Chhommrong, Dovan, Deurali, and finally to ABC. After spending the precious time at Annapurna Base Camp, we return back to Pokhara through Bamboo, and Jhinu Hot Spring.

Trip Facts:

Type of Trek: Teahouse
Trekking Level: Intermediate
Duration of Trek: 12 Days

Trip Grading:

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is suitable for any walker who is looking for a little more challenge in the Himalayan adventures. Having said that, the trip does not require you to be super-fit or have any previous trekking/mountaineering experience. But if you can walk 5 to 6 hours daily, you can do ABC trek easily. We’d suggest you to have some jugging or walking experience prior to leaving for ABC. Cold Feet team is always aware of necessary rest days for proper acclimatization accordingly. Don’t worry, you can go at your own pace during the trip. We’ll provide you plenty of stops for resting.
