We were a small group of three that completed the trek to Everest base camp. The trip and experience was amazing but it would never have been the same without the amazing support and friendship given by Gopi and his Cold Feet team. From the moment we arrived in Katmandhu we were welcomed into his home with wonderful breakfasts at his home on the roof terrace. Fresh tea from the herbs on his roof - and his wife makes a magical curry as well. We encountered some challenging weather during our trip that impacted our ability to get to and from Lukla in the timings that we had, but Gopi managed to arrange a helicopter at very short notice both in and out when the planes could not fly. All the places booked on the trip were excellent (despite a huge power outage in the region !) - it just made it a more memorable experience! When back Gopi took us to markets, long lunches and even soundly beat us at pool! He and his wifes hospitality is second to none and no ask is too much in ensuring the smoothest and most authentic experience. When not organising trips they also work hard with their ColdFeet Foundation to assist in the building of schools and the education of children in some of the poorest areas of Nepal. They are one of a kind and my most heartfelt thanks for an incredible experience. Feb 2024.
