Nepal is a small landlocked country that is located in between two great giants of south Asia: India and China. With an area of 147, 181 sq. km the country is extremely small compared to its neighbors. However, it is a beautiful world in itself. Geographically, Nepal is divided into 3 major regions: Terai, Hills and Himalayas. The Terai region is basically known for being the granary warehouse of the country. As we move up towards the northern side of the country, the plains of Terai change into towering hills. Further north, the great Himalayan range separates Nepal from China making a natural border.

The country is known to host 8 of the 10 major mountain ranges in the world including the highest mountain in the world, Mt. Everest (8848 m). Such diverse geographical variation makes Nepal a major prospect for trekking and mountain climbing. Other than this, the country is also widely known its cultural and traditional diversity. The country can be visited throughout the year, nonetheless if you are going on a trek or a climbing expedition it's better to travel during Autumn(late September, October, November, and December) and Spring(February, March, April and May).
