The Naya Khang Peak Climbing journey explores the magical Langtang Valley, its inhabitants, and the heritage spread across the valley. Located north to Kathmandu, Naya Khang is one of the most easily accessible peaks. The trail leads through the villages of Langtang valley and Kyanjin Gompa along the shores of the Langtang River. The trip rewards with the glorious mountainous view of Langtang Himalayan range, glaciers, and pleasant rhododendron forests. Additionally, the trip also entails passing through the trails in the Langtang National Park decorated by the Tibetan and Tamang settlements.
The Naya Khang Peak Climbing trip starts after driving to Dhunche from Kathmandu. After starting the trek from Dhunche, you pass through the forests trail to the hillside village of Thulo Syabru. From there, you descend down along the ridge and reach the teahouses of Pahiro and Bamboo before heading for Lama Hotel. The trail leads to the glamorous village of Langtang valley inhabited by Tibetan and Buddhist community. Kyanjin Gompa, located at the foothill of Langtang Himalayan range fills the trip with more excitement and pleasure. The climbing and camping begin from Kyanjin Gompa after you head towards the Naya Khang Base Camp. You will be rewarded with the spectacular views of the snowcapped mountains from the peak. All in all, the trip will fill your soul with pleasant memories. The trip gives you an opportunity to experience a nomadic lifestyle and to get an insight into the Tibetan culture and tradition of the Himalayan people. Autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) are the most suitable seasons for the climbing. Similarly, it is also ideal if the climbers have previous experience of climbing and trekking.

Welcome to Kathmandu, the beautiful capital city of Nepal. You will be received by a company representative at the airport. You then drive to a hotel and rest for the day or walk around the city streets. You may spend the evening in the Thamel area or the pleasant atmosphere of Basantapur.
You will spend the day with some sightseeing of the ancient and historical palaces and religious temples and monasteries of the Kathmandu valley. The guided city tour takes you to the UNESCO world heritage sites like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. You may wander around the Thamel streets and do some shopping for the trek.
After early breakfast, we take a private jeep and drive along the north-west side of Kathmandu valley. We pass along the banks of the Trishuli River. We can have lunch at Trishuli Bazaar where you can taste the local fish cuisines. We drive into the Langtang National Park and make our stop for the day at Dhunche.
On the first day of trekking, we walk across the steep hills and continuous stone stairs. We pass through the dense green forests and terrace farms. The village of Thulo Syabru is beautiful in itself situated at the ridgeline of the hills. Langtang Lirung (7227m) and the Tibetan Himalayan ranges can be observed from the village.
After breakfast, we descend down along the ridge and through the forests to a landslide area where there are few teahouses. The trail then begins to ascend gently and passes through the villages of Rimche and Bamboo. The trek progresses with the sound of Langtang Khola River. Exiting the lush rhododendron forests, we finally reach the Lama Hotel.
Today, we trek towards the heart of the Langtang Himalayan range and head to the Langtang village. We pass through forests of Ghodatabela and the grasslands. The trekking trail runs along meadows and pastureland to reach the Langtang Village. The valley has its charm and beauty alive. We stay for the night in Langtang village and enjoy the adorable hospitality.
After the warm breakfast in Langtang, we ascend along the moderate trail and beautiful scenery. We will pass the largest Mani wall of Nepal on our way to the Kyanjin Gompa. The trekking trails are decorated with prayer flags and Mani walls. We will also pass several watermills, the yak-grazing field before stepping in the amazing village of Kyanjin. Here, you can visit the Kyanjin Monastery and observe the traditional depiction of art and culture in the monastery.
We will explore around the Kyanjin Gompa today. The traditional Tibetan village follows a unique and intense Buddhist culture and traditions. We can visit the Kyanjin Gompa, one of the most important monasteries in Langtang Valley. We can also climb Kyanjin Ri (4773 m) or Tserko Ri (4984 m) for the amazing sunrise view over the Langtang Himalayan ranges. There is a Cheese factory also where we may have a visit and a taste of Yak cheese. The excursion of the village is simply a wonderful experience with the insight of Tibetan culture and norms.
The adventure shifts to the next level now, as we will be camping for 4 nights. We cross the Langtang Khola and ascend the steep hills. We pass through the birch forests, juniper shrubs, and the yak pastureland. We will get to observe the refreshing views of the mountains from the base camp. We spend the night in the base camp in our tents.
After breakfast, we head towards the High Camp. The trail is steeper and the altitude goes on increasing. We will have a slow comfortable walk with the spectacular views of the gorgeous Himalayas. We climb through the snow and slippery trail so, we must take utmost caution to reach the High Camp. We spend the second night of camping at High camp.
This day is reserved for the acclimatization as the altitude is increasing and the muscles need some rest. We stay at high camp and spend the day. You may also gain some height and come back again as a procedure of acclimatization. We spend the day training, relaxing, and making preparations for the climb.
We start in the early morning and aim for the summit. The trails will be covered with snow so, we must be strictly careful. The ropes and equipment are prepared and managed by the technical crew and guides. At first, the climb is gentle and gradual and goes on increasing as we approach the summit. With the help and precautions provided by the climbing experts, we will reach the summit of the Naya Khang Peak (5844m). A breathtaking display of Langtang valley and surrounding areas can be observed from the top. After spending some time at the summit, we descend.
We start the day after breakfast and descend all the way down. We pass the Langtang Khola River, the forests of birches and junipers and reach Kyanjin Gompa. We then check in to the hotel and take the rest. We can explore the local village and observe the lifestyle of the Tibetan people who inhabit the village.
This morning, we wave farewell to the amazing village of Kyanjin Gompa and descend along the Langtang River. The path is moderate with gradual ups and downs. We reach the Langtang village and the yak pasturelands. We pass through the forests and the lodges of Ghodatabela and then cross Gumanechok. Later, we pass through the forested trail to settle at Lama Hotel.
After breakfast, we descend through the dense forests and the teahouses of Bamboo and Rimche. We cross the Langtang River and walk through the cold forests for the entire day. The path is easy and marks our last day of the trekking. We spend the day in this popular town of Rasuwa district.
We take the private jeep early in the morning today and head for Kathmandu. We pass Dhunche and drive alongside the Trishuli River. After the arrival in Kathmandu, we check in to the hotel. You can spend the day relaxing or wandering around the city. Today is also the perfect time to shop for souvenirs.
At last, the date of departure has arrived. We will drop you to the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in a private vehicle before your scheduled flight time. You will be witnessing the Himalayas for the final time from the sky before you leave Nepal. We hope to see you again in Nepal and wish to join in your next adventure. Good days ahead!
