Yala Peak is situated in the north of Kathmandu in Langtang Himalayan Range near the Tibetan border at the elevation of 5732m. Yala Peak is one of the lowest and easiest trekking peaks in Nepal.

Well, we will begin our trek from Syabrubesi. We the follow the trekking route of Langtang valley and Kyanjin Gompa. After passing Kyangin Gompa, we then turn north to see Yala Peak. Sure, you will have great time in the summit. Yala Peak offers you a spectacular view of Langtang Lirung, Langsisha Ri, Gangchepo, Dorche Pakpa and many more mountain ranges from Nepal and Tibet.

Itineraries

Upon arriving in Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport), a Cold Feet representative will meet you and help you transfer to your hotel by private bus. Enjoy a free evening to explore Kathmandu and recover from your jet-lag. Meet the Cold Feet staff during a short pre-tour briefing before dinner.

A full-day guided tour around Kathmandu city's historical and cultural landmarks. Visit Bouddhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple, the most important sites of Buddhism and Hinduism in Nepal. Catch the playful antics of the monkeys and beautiful city views at Swayambhunath temple. Get lost in Kathmandu's old city bazaars, public squares, and former royal palaces at Durbar Square.

Today, we will drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi which takes approx. 8-9 hours by bus. We will head north out of Kathmandu valley driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabrubesi passing through Dhunche. En route, we will enjoy the glimpse of Ganesh Himal and green hills.  Syabrubesi is the cool town with the excellent view. We will stay overnight at guesthouse.

Well, today the first past of the trail crosses through Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola. Then, this trail gradually climbs to Bamboo passing through the landslide area. Our trek ascends gently to Rimche through Bamboo which lies at the bank of Langtang Khola. Following the trail, we reach at Lama Hotel. We will stay overnight at guesthouse. 

Today, our trek route follows Gumanechowk, and Ghoda Tabela (literally means The Horse Stable). After this, the trail is slightly gradual and beautiful in the valley with the grazing Yaks. Langtang village is one of the very local and old villages along this trekking route and this view from here is more spectacular as we get closer to mountain. We will stay overnight at guesthouse. 

Today is a shorter walk but enough for acclimatization. Here, the surroundings are interesting and we pass the famous Cheese factory. This beautiful valley is in the Langtang Lirung. We will take our time to explore the valley and lots of small peaks to climb. We will stay overnight at guesthouse.

Today is a day to rest and explore the Kyanjin Gompa. Here, you can visit the monastery and cheese factory. We then take a walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri which is the highest point of this trek. We will the panoramic views of Langtang Peaks just behind the village. We will stay overnight at guesthouse.
 

To reach Yala Base Camp, you trek along the rocky glacier trail. We will be enjoying the views of Ganchenpo, Tserko Ri, Naya Kang, Yala Peak and others. For today, the accommodation will be tented camp and food will be cooked by our professional camp cook. We will stay overnight at tented camp.

Today is gonna be our main adventure day. So we make an early start in the morning to climb Yala Peak depending on weather conditions. At the summit of Yala Peak, you will be stunned by the panoramic views of Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, Tserko Ri, Langtang Lirung and many Tibetan mountains. We will stay overnight at guesthouse.

We will take this day as a spare day if the weather condition is bad. We will take rest all the day. 

Today, we rejoin the trail to Lama Hotel. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Leaving the mountains behind us, our descent takes us to the Syabrubesi where we started the trek about a week ago. We will stay overnight at guesthouse.

After having breakfast at Syabrubesi, we drive back to Kathmandu today. This will take some 9 hours by bus. We will enjoy the farewell dinner party tonight in Kathmandu.

A Cold Feet representative will accompany you to the airport to catch your returning flight. We hope to see you again soon!
